Aspnet regiis the error indicates that iis is not installed
I have to specify the site ID because I need encrypt configuration file for non " default web site". Ok, because I checked over the options available and site id doesn't appear to be a valid option. Can you paste the help from the command line so we can see what options you have? If that site option is indeed valid, are you sure that it isn't referring to the id in the IIS Metabase?

Then I try to open it and get the error you mentioned before.. Anyone have any ideas? I was having this exact same problem in Vista Business edition and I fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling asp.
