Delta power distribution is basically unheard of outside of North America, they think we are nuts to do it. So first off, you MUST read the manual of the drive to see if it says you can use it on a Delta network, many cheap ones will tell you no. If it does say its OK, then there should be instructions on how to modify the drive so that it doesnt get damaged. VFDs have a network of surge suppressors called MOVs on the front end protecting the diodes and those will be connected in a Wye with a reference to ground, which helps protect against common mode noise coming in from the source.

If you connect in Delta, you will have to remove the ground reference point of those MOVs, otherwise THEY try to become the Wye point of your supply and burn out within days, leaving the drive unprotected at all, which eventually leads to failure. Others, mostly European, make it possible, but often difficult Siemens and ABB make you partially disassemble the drive for example. Some Asian mfrs ignore it altogether and just tell you no, or tell you nothing and let you suffer the consequences.

But now they are owned by Vacon, a Finnish company, and the newer versions require difficult mods. The Eurotherm drives, from my experience, are real bears to modify for Delta, they didn't consider us in their designs at all.

As an aside if you connect X0 and then ground one of the delta legs you will create an imbalance and cause the transformer to burn out. Therefore, let them float. As for DC bus voltages. I'm not altogether sure you will have success with this project using a phase converter to power the VFD.

I have ZERO experience with this, but have installed a few static and rotary units and always noted a leg with low voltage until the driven motor was loaded. Some VFDs may shut down due to phase loss error. Replacement WILL cost less, replacement of the output transistors will cost less as well should there be a failure.

It has 3 MOV's line to line but nothing ,that I could tell, connecting line to ground.
